Joy Pediatrics

Occupational Therapist

"Along with serving school-aged children, we are Birth to Three providers at Joy Pediatrics. Our early intervention occupational therapy services support infants and toddlers from birth to age three in reaching important developmental milestones.

We collaborate with the child’s family to determine appropriate goals for foundational skills, including feeding, play, movement, and sensory processing. We meet the child in their natural environment (home or daycare) for services to provide a collaborative approach with caregivers."

"In occupational therapy, we support an individual to build, restore, or adapt occupations. Play is a meaningful occupation in childhood, therefore our sessions are fun and engaging. Through play, we build skills such as:

  • Fine motor skills

  • Visual motor integration

  • Self-care skills

  • Feeding

  • Sensory processing and regulation

  • Attention and focus

  • Executive functioning

  • Play and social skills

  • Adaptive skills"
